ABOUT US
National IoT testbeds are a proposed large-scale, real-world experimental facility for research and experimentation of new IoT technologies, services, and applications in Australia. They aim to provide a unique platform for large-scale experimentation and evaluation of IoT technologies, as well as enable a world-class education and training program for Australia’s next generation scholars and engineers, in order to achieve Australia’s leadership in IoT research.
The proposed national IoT testbeds in Australia have a distributed research infrastructure across major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Canberra. The infrastructure consists of seven real-world testbeds with over 3,000 IoT nodes that will be located at the campuses of seven participating universities. This will provide a large-scale, real-world experimental facility for research and experimentation of new IoT technologies, services, and applications.
